I just want to thank all of the contributor of this wonderful model shoot.

Jessica with Magnolia Plantation, Jodi with White on DI, Paula at Buy the Bunch, Nicole Snyder with Elysium for Hair & Jonny Cosmetics. Not to mention all of my wonderful assistants and models.

It went really well and we got some amazing pictures. Here are just a few on my favorites. Hope you enjoy!

This is a perfect destination beach wedding dress. It is absolutely gorgeous with the open back. I love the shot below. Sometimes things just line up perfectly when you are behind the camera and this is one of those shots.

Kateland

Kateland ended up getting a little scared of the peacock but they were a lot of fun to have around during the shoot.

The bridge at Magnolia is such an amazing feature. Despite the fact that we had a crazy afternoon thunderstorm while we were getting ready, the humidity was 200% and the temperature was hitting the 100s, the cloud cover made the water very reflective which makes these pictures amazing.

Virginia

All of the models were great but Virginia is my favorite! We went a little avant garde with her look this time. Hair and make-up were stunning to work with the style.

The above picture may look a little familiar. I have used it on the blog as the header. It is my over all favorite from the shoot.

I love the shape of the train with the perspective of the bridge.

Shem Creek Cottage on the Creek & Lighthouse on the Creek

Friday, August 20th, 2010

I am doing some pictures for Cottage on the Creek which is located on Shem Creek. They have just recently taken over Lighthouse on the Creek (formerly The Landing) and there are a few outside pictures of it as well. This is such a great place to get married. The atmosphere, the ocean breeze and the amazing sunsets on Shem Creek are priceless, not to say that they will break your wedding budget ;)

Sunset Pictures of Shem Creek, Mount Pleasant, SC

Friday, August 20th, 2010

Growing up here in Mount Pleasant, right across the Cooper River from Charleston, I have always loved Shem Creek. Once in a while, I will go out and take pictures of the sunset while relaxing at one of the many restaurant’s outside drinking/dinning areas. These are some recent pictures I have taken.

Glenna is not a very common name and I have actually never meet a person with my name. There are plenty of Glenn and Glendas but not Glenna. There actually use to be a shrimp boat when I was young that docked in Shem Creek which was named, Miss Glenna. I know I am bias but it could be the best boat name ever!

Summer is such an amazing time on Shem Creek. The smell of the salty ocean air, pelicans flying to and fro, dolphins playing in the water that is lined with shrimp boats and the lush green color of the marsh make it an amazing location. It is also a great place to dock the jet skies and grab a quick refreshment.

Hope that you have enjoyed the picture and my ramblings about Shem Creek. I am always amazed that people look at my blog. I started it strictly for business but I am really starting to enjoy it. Thanks for all of the posted comments lately and I would always love to hear more.

Ryan & Brian’s Wedding

5/22/10
Boon Hall Plantation, Mount Pleasant, SC

I never really do this but I had a photographer who was in need of a second shooter/assistant for about an hour or two. I didn’t have anything else booked so I decided, why not. It was fun and I focused more wide shots.

Night Photography Creates Dramatic Effects for Wedding Pictures

Monday, August 16th, 2010

I recently had a curious bride ask to see some pictures that I have done at night. She is getting married in the evening and wants to see the effect of the dark lighting on the pictures. I love shooting at night with just the bride and groom. It creates passionate and dramatic pictures that are not the traditional wedding pictures.

Wedding photographers have to be versatile and able to shoot in any lighting situation. All too often, receptions are dark places. The human eye automatically adjusts to view subtleties in low light situations. A camera is a little different.

Being able to create a good contrast ration and clean sharp images in low lighting situations, is something I take pride in being able to achieve. Whether it is group pictures, the little extras at the wedding, people dancing or most importantly the bride and groom, the dark rooms and the night help me to create dramatic and beautiful images.

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

I am offering a new type of wedding album that has a full designed cover and seamless pages that do not bend. This is the first design for the new album. I will get some pictures of the album when it comes in so everyone can get a better idea of what they will look like. Love to know what you think about the design!

Lindsay & Brian’s Wedding

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

4/17/10
The Thomas Bennett House, Charleston, SC

Lindsay and Brian are such a happy couple. I know it sounds cleshay but I have done so many weddings and seen all kinds of couple. They are surely soul mates. They came down from the north to have a wonderful relaxed southern wedding. With friends and family coming from all over this truly was a great destination wedding.

The Thomas Bennett house is an amazing venue nestled in to the heart of Downtown Charleston. It is a photographer dream to have such a great place to take pictures.

I never would have chosen blue and pink but the color combination is just stunning in the pictures. Great job Lindsay!

These are always some of my favorite shots.

WOW! I would have chosen this dress for my wedding if I had seen it. It has everything: beautiful fabric, delicate details, wonderfully easy to put on and POCKETS!!

Best Wishes on a wonderful life together Lindsay & Brian!

Hannah & Brandon’s Wedding

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

4/9/10
Dunes West, Mount Pleasant, SC

Hannah & Brandon are such a beautiful couple. I felt honored to capture their wedding day. Their friends and family were fun and inviting. I especially loved the fact that Hannah gave me a new name,
“Glenna the Amazing.”

Dunes West is a gorgeous backdrop to get married at. In addition to the beauty, the services and flow of the wedding was exceptional. Things seemed to easily flow from one event or place to the other while keeping the guests entertained and happy.

I love capturing the little things at weddings and Hannah really put so much thought into the color and coordination of everything. It was absolutely beautiful.

Best Wishes Hannah & Brandon!

May your love continue to grow with time.
